IOWA CITY — R.C. Johnson is not one of those athletes who refuses to retire because he has nothing else in his life. As much as he loves wrestling, the Plymouth native also is excited to finish his Ph.D. in computer science and pursue the business ventures he’s setting up.
But he doesn’t want it to happen too soon. Johnson, an Armstrong High School graduate, has been putting all of his energy lately into earning a place on the U.S. Olympic wrestling team—and Sunday, he moved closer to reaching that goal.
