McCauley breaks state wins record

Apple Valley senior Destin McCauley won his 263rd match Saturday at The Clash National Duals breaking the Minnesota high school career wins record. The win happened in his final match of the tournament against Clark Glass of Brandon, Florida. McCauley won 8-5.

McCauley is now at the top of the the career wins list, a position previously held by Travis Rutt of Jackson County Central and New Prague, who broke the record in 2008.

McCauley will be competing for his fifth state title this year.
