Snobl honored for wrestling support

Dan Snobl was honored at the Section 3A wrestling tournament in Redwood Falls Saturday for his long contributions to the sport. The rural Amiret man was presented with a “Coaches Recognition Award.”

Snobl served as the Section 4A individual tournament manager for 15 years and and was section team tournament manager for three years.

He coordinated the Section 4A (today’s Section 3A) individual tournament at Southwest Minnesota State University 18 years,  overseeinig such details as seedings, volunteers, food concessions, and technology

Snobl also established and directed the Southwest Minnesota Wrestling Club for 12 years. Numerous club members went on to become state place winners or champions

He has been a contributing writer to The Guillotine wrestling newspaper for 13 years, was a Section 4A representative for the Minnesota State High School League, and served on the Minnesota Wrestling Coaches Association for two years.
