MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragons wrestling team announced Monday that seniors Evan Forde and Jon Swart were both named to the NCAA Division-II All-Academic Wrestling Team.
Forde, a senior who came to the Dragons from Fargo South High School, was selected to the Second Team after finishing a 63-59 record. Forde was one of four athletes, including two others from the NSIC, to be selected for the fourth time. Forde is majoring in Exercise Science at MSUM.
Swart, a senior and five-year dual sport athlete who came to the Dragons out of Fargo North High School, was an Honorable Mention and finished with a career record of 29-45 and 15-11 his senior season. Swart is majoring in Economics at MSUM.
All athletes selected must have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average or higher on a 4.0 scale. The athlete must also in his second full year at his school and be a key member of the varsity squad.
