St. Olaf had six placewinners at the Augsburg Open on Saturday, November 19th.
Senior All-American Ryan Timmerman led St. Olaf placing third in the elite 141 pound gold division. Junior Jacob Bohler placed fourth in the 157 pound gold division and freshman Wesley Azariah placed fifth in the 125 pound gold division.
Three Oles placed in the silver division. Junior Andrew Rudd pinned his way through the tournament winning the 184 pound bracket. Sophomore James Roach placed second in the 174 pound bracket and sophomore Dylan McDonough placed sixth in the 174 pound bracket.
St. Olaf Coach Sean Ahrar is pleased with his team’s strong start to the season. “We have placed seventeen guys in the top five in the last three tournaments,” stated Ahrar. The Oles also defeated No. 13 NAIA Dakota Wesleyan in a dual on November 16th.
