In the first dual against Northern State, the Jacks secured the win in the 197-pound match with a pin by Nick Mart.
The Jacks jumped out to an early lead, scoring five of the first six decisions. The only non-victory for SDSU was an open at 133 pounds.
SDSU continues to excel in the lower weight classes, which helps build a lead and allowing the Jacks to maintain for the win.
SDSU held on to beat NSU 25-18 thanks to the Mart pin.
In the second dual between SDSU and Southwest Minnesota State, the Jacks continued along the familiar storyline.
The Jacks won six of the first seven weight classes, but could only manage decisions and were unable to pull away.
Late victories by Dillon Reid and Joe Rasmussen proved valuable, as SDSU saw its lead dwindle, but hold.
SDSU held on to beat SMSU 20-18.
Dustin Walraven continued his early season succes, scoring a major decision and receiving a forfeit to improve to 5-0 in duals.
Nick Flynn scored two major decisions to hold on to the best individual record for SDSU.
Aaron Pickrel and Andrew Youngblom, two wrestlers instrumental in the quick starts, each recorded a pair of decisions.
