DECORAH, Iowa – St. Olaf erased a 15-4 deficit with four straight victories to take a 20-15 lead, but lost a 25-20 decision to 11th-ranked Luther College on Thursday night at the Regents Center.

St. Olaf had wins from Alex Evans at 157, Jacob Bohler at 165, Joe Pesta at 174 and James Roach at 184 to take the five-point lead, but the host Norse won each of the last two matches by technical fall to claim the victory and snap the Oles’ three-dual win streak.

St. Olaf had one other win on the night, Ryan Timmerman’s major decision at 141. Pesta’s win was also a major while Bohler earned the Oles’ only pin of the night at 1:56 over Luther’s Dale Lewis.

St. Olaf is idle until January 14, when it competes in the Central College open in Pella, Iowa.
