Mustang wrestling tabbed sixth in the NSIC; eighth in Super Region 3 rankings

MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University wrestling team is ranked sixth in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and eighth in the Super Region 3 rankings released on Wednesday afternoon.


The Mustangs received seven points in the regional rankings and 13 points in the conference rankings.

Justin Reinsma (133, So., Slayton, Minn.) is ranked fifth in the region and in the region. Jacob Begin (165, So., Anoka, Minn.) currently ranks third in the region and second in the NSIC.

Senior Martin Hagen (197, Hanley Falls, Minn.) ranks sixth in the regional rankings and fifth in the conference. Brian Rodas (285, Sr., Farmersburg, Iowa), who has yet to wrestle this season is ranked fourth in the region and fourth in the conference.

Southwest Minnesota State is in action tonight at home in a triangular match against Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) and Waldorf College (Iowa) at 6 p.m.
