Reinsma named to All-NSIC wrestling second team

BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Southwest Minnesota State University sophomore wrestler Justin Reinsma has been named to the All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference wrestling second team. The announcement was made by the league office in Burnsville, Minn. on Thursday.

Reinsma, a native of Slayton, Minn., finished the season with a record of 23-15, earning seventh place at the NCAA II Championships and All-America honors. Reinsma went 3-2 at the national tournament, and is the first Mustang wrestler to earn All-America Honors since 2006.

He is also the first Mustang to earn All-NSIC honors since 2006. Reinsma has recorded 51 victories in just two seasons at SMSU.

Matt Meuleners of Northern State was named the NSIC’s wrestler of the Year while Upper Iowa’s Blake Sorensen was named Rookie of the Year and St. Cloud State head coach Steve Costanzo was named the NSIC’s Coach of the Year.

Southwest Minnesota State finished 10-6 overall on the season, including a 3-4 fourth-place finish in the NSIC standings.
