2011-2012 Cobber Wrestling Awards
Outstanding Wrestler: Nate Schmitz (Perham, MN) – Season record 31-11… recorded 80 takedowns…two time national qualifier…2012 All-American – 5th place 197 pounds
Outstanding Freshman: Sebastian Gardner (Monticello, MN)
Hardest Worker: Ben Presler (Royalton, MN) – Season Record-15-10… placed second at the Great Lakes Region… 2012 All-American – 5th place at 125 pounds
Most Improved: Kyle LeDuc (Thief River, MN) – Placed fourth at the Great Lakes Region…21 wins…2012 Academic All-American 3.78
Most Improved Freshman: Chris Harrison (Pine River, MN) Jake Kostik (North Branch, MN)
Cobber Award: Ben Presler (Royalton, MN) (A person who has given beyond normal expectations for the team)

Concordia earned Scholar All-American Team honors it was announced by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA). The Cobber’s placed sixth in all of Division III with a 3.42 overall grade point average.
The members of the Cobbers’ Scholar All-American included senior Zach Deffinbaugh, juniors Josten Coleman, Mike Holman and Nathan Schmitz, sophomores Brandon Haluptzok and freshmen Jacoby Bergeron, Sebastian Gardner, Chris Harrison, Kyle LeDuc and Jake Krogstad.
