Lewandowski and Goergen are runners-up at NHSCA National Championships

Minnesota wrestlers Taylor Lewandowski (Foley) and Austin Goergen (Caledonia/Houston/Spring Grove) each placed second in the Senior Division at the NHSCA National Championships on April 1st in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Lewandowski lost in the 160 pound championship match to Clark Glass of Florida. Goergen lost to Doug Vollaro of Florida in the heavyweight finals.

Also placing in the top-eight for Team Minnesota in the Senior Division was Ben Sullivan (Apple Valley) – sixth place at 152 pounds, Brett Pfarr (LeSueur-Henderson) – fourth place at 170 pounds, and Coyte Kuefner (Owatonna) – fourth place at 220 pounds.

The Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior Divisions concluded on March 30th.
