Cobbers announce nine recruits

Concordia Coaches Clay Nagel and Matt Nagel have announced nine student/athletes who have committed to Concordia College.

“Matt and I are looking forward to working with these young men and believe they possess the mental and physical skills to achieve great accomplishments at Concordia in academics as well as athletically,” stated Coach Clay Nagel. “With young men like these we feel we can maintain the high level of academics and athletic excellence we strive for here at Concordia.”

In the 2012 season the Cobber’s qualified Tom Bouressa, Nate Schmitz, Daron Hohbein, and Ben Presler to the NCAA National tournament and had two All-Americans in Ben Presler and Nate Schmitz. The team also placed 13th and academically placed 6th with a 3.42 team GPA.

Kyle LeDuc was an Academic All-American with a 3.78 GPA. He is majoring in Biology.

“We return eight starters from last year and with the help of our new recruits the future of Cobber Wrestling looks bright,” said Nagel.
