St. Cloud State University wrestling will host its 20-12 Fall Youth Wrestling Clinic on Saturday, Oct. 27 in the Halenbeck Hall Fieldhouse in St. Cloud.
The clinic will feature guest clinician Derek Skala, who won the 2012 NCAA Division II championship at 184-pounds for the Huskies. He was named the 2012 SCSU Male Senior Athlete of the Year and was the Huskies’ Outstanding Wrestler of the Year last winter. A native of Owatonna, Skala was a two-time All-America award winner during his career in St. Cloud.
The clinic is open to youth wrestlers of all skills levels in grades K-12. The cost is $45 per person (or a team rate of $40 when five or more from the same team register together).
The clinic will include two sessions of instruction, a motivational talk, t-shirt and lunch. All participants will also be invited to watch the SCSU wrestling practice at the end of the clinic. The clinic will feature instruction from members of the SCSU wrestling coaching staff and team members.
