MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead wrestling team will host a pair of events this week, starting with a 7 p.m. dual against Jamestown College on Wednesday night. The Dragons will then host the Dragon Open beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
Both events are at Alex Nemzek Hall in Moorhead, Minn.
MSUM is 1-0 in duals after earning an impressive 33-9 win over Dickinson State on Nov. 16. Jamestown is 1-1 in duals, beating the University of Regina, 38-12 before losing to Northern State, 28-16.
The Dragon Open will feature 18 teams with action continuing throughout the day.

Four wins by fall helped the Minnesota State University Moorhead wrestling team roll to a 33-9 win over Dickinson State on Nov. 16.
The Dragons (1-0) got pins from freshman Tyler Tischer, junior Angel Vega, redshirt freshman Jesse Munos and junior Matthew Lewellen on their way to the win.
A day later, the Dragons had several solid performances at the Finn Grinaker Open hosted by Concordia-Moorhead. Munos finished second at 174 pounds with a 3-1 mark, while sophomore Phillippe Walker was siftha t 133 pounds. Gerad Fugleberg added a 3-1 mark, winning straight matches by fall, to finish fifth at heavyweight. Lucas Moderow was sixth in the 184-pound division for the Dragons.

After this weekend, MSUM hosts Division III national power Augsburg on Dec. 11 in its final action before Christmas.
