The North Dakota State wrestling team will host its first dual meet of the 2012-13 season on Friday, Nov. 16, when the Bison meet No. 24 Boise State in the Bison Sports Arena at 7 p.m.
North Dakota State is offering a 2-for-1 ticket deal for Friday’s dual through the school’s social media outlets. Fans who have liked “North Dakota State Bison” on Facebook or who follow @NDSUathletics on Twitter can print out the voucher available in both places and present it at the Bison Sports Arena ticket office on Friday to receive two general admission tickets for the price of one.
About Boise State
Boise State (0-1, 0-0 Pac-12) returns all 10 starters and four NCAA qualifiers from last season in Brian Owen (133), George Ivanov (157), Jake Swartz (184) and Brent Chriswell (197). The Broncos will also have NCAA All-American Jason Chamberlain (149) returning to action after redshirting last season. Chamberlain is ranked among the top three wrestlers in the nation at 149 pounds by multiple outlets.
Boise State already has one dual meet under its belt, opening the season with a 26-12 loss at Wyoming on Nov. 1.
North Dakota State holds a 2-1 edge in the all-time series with Boise State, but the Broncos defeated the Bison 21-16 last season in Boise.
Boise State won the final five bouts of the dual to claim a 21-16 victory over NDSU on Jan. 20, 2012. Trent Sprenkle(125), Justin Solberg (133), Mark Erickson (149) and Steven Monk (157) captured wins for the Bison.
North Dakota State is 5-3 in home duals over the last two seasons.

Senior Trent Sprenkle is ranked No. 7 by Amateur Wrestling News and No. 12 by Intermat at 125 pounds.
Junior Steven Monk is ranked No. 8 by Amateur Wrestling News and No. 11 by Intermat at 165 pounds.
Senior Mac Stoll is at No. 17 in the Intermat rankings and No. 20 by Amateur Wrestling News at 184 pounds.
The Bison return 119 of a possible 150 dual starts from 2011-12. Returning national qualifiers Steven Monk andTrent Sprenkle led NDSU last season in dual meets. Monk compiled a 13-2 record in duals, while Sprenkle posted an 11-4 mark.
Including returning NCAA qualifiers Trent Sprenkle (125), Steven Monk (157/165) and Mac Stoll (184), the Bison bring back eight wrestlers with significant starting experience from last season.
Senior Tyler Diamond handled 14 of the 15 Bison duals last season at 141 pounds, and senior Mark Ericksonwrestled all 15 duals at 149 pounds. Joe Garner should get a chance to compete closer to his natural weight class of 157 after wrestling up at 174 for the majority of NDSU’s duals last season. Sophomores John Gusewelle (197) andEvan Knutson (285) wrestled all 15 duals a year ago.
In total, North Dakota State returns 119 of a possible 150 dual starts from 2011-12.
Search for 100
Senior Trent Sprenkle owned 75 wins entering the 2012-13 season, making him the winningest active Bison wrestler. With four wins at the Bison Open on Nov. 10, Sprenkle needs just 21 more to reach 100 career victories.
Only seven wrestlers in North Dakota State history have topped 100 career wins.
Welcome to the Show
The Bison welcomed 10 newcomers to the squad to fill out the first recruiting class of the Kish regime. A majority of the freshmen will wrestle at the lighter weights, with Clay Cathey, Grant Dullinger, Josh Rodriguez, Justin Scherkenbach, Hunter Weber and Devin Wolf all pegged at either 125 or 133 pounds this season.
Other additions to the roster include freshmen Matthew Gray and Colt Castlebury at 157 and 184 pounds, respectively, and redshirt freshman and Fargo native Tyler Lehmann, who will become eligible to compete at 197 pounds after the completion of the first semester.
