MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead wrestling team will aim to get back in the win column this week as it competes in a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference matches on the road. MSUM will compete at No. 15-ranked Augustana (7 p.m.) on Wednesday and at Southwest Minnesota State (3 p.m.) on Saturday to wrap up the dual-meet portion of its season.
MSUM is 8-6 in duals overall and 3-3 in the NSIC. Augustana is 9-6 overall and 4-3 in the NSIC, while SMSU is 12-6 overall and 2-5 in the NSIC. The Dragons lost to Augustana, 29-10 a year ago, and also lost to SMSU, 21-15.

About MSUM
In their lone competion last week, MSUM lost to crosstown rival Concordia, 24-6. Junior Angel Vega and sophomore Philippe Walker earned wins by decision for MSUM.
Vega leads the Dragons with a 22-9 mark. Walker is 17-9, while junior Casey Williams is 15-6 for MSUM.
Kris Nelson is in his fourth season as MSUM’s head coach with a record of 23-34 at the school.

Augustana is 9-6 on the season. The Vikings lost to No. 6 Upper Iowa, 21-15 in their last action on Feb. 8.
The Vikings possess two nationally-ranked wrestlers — senior Nate Herda (23-4, ranked No. 3 at 149 pounds) and sophomore Jayd Docken (17-4, ranked No. 6 at 197). Augustana’s 141-pounder, Brandon Charbonneau, is 28-7.
Jason Reitmeier is in his 10th season as Augustana’s head coach with a record of 104-52 at the school.
About SMSU
The Mustangs are 12-6 on the season; they split on the road last weekend, losing at Mary, 24-12 but beating Minot State, 44-3.
Justin Reinsma, who is ranked fifth in the nation at 133 pounds, leads SMSU with a 22-4 record. Micah Larson is 16-10 while Jacob Begin is 13-2.
Jesse Nelson is in his sixth season as SMSU’s head coach with a record of 37-40-1 at the school.
