MWCA Scholarship Recipients 2013

The Minnesota Wrestling Coaches Association awarded five $1,500 scholarships this season. Any senior who has wrestled in high school in Minnesota and is college-bound was eligible to apply.

Here are this season’s MWCA scholarship recipients.

Lance Briard wrestled for Todd Bertram at Springfield High School. His parents are Jeff and Maren Briard. He is planning on attending Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD.

Adam Cooling attends Madelia High School. His head Wrestling Coach is Darren Gifferson. His parents are Mark and Kimberly Cooling. Adam plans on attending Minnesota State University Mankato next year.

Jonathan Lenz is the son of David and Cynthia Lenz. He wrestled for coach Kurt Habeck and Eastview High School. Jonathon is narrowing his choice of colleges from St. Olaf, Macalester, St. John’s, Amherst or Yale.

Drey Loge wrestled at Pine River-Backus High School. His parents are Eric and Kathy Loge. Drey’s Head Coach is Travis Hoffarth. Drey will attend University of Minnesota – Duluth next year.

Eric Madson is from Hutchinson High School where he wrestled for Coach Todd Card. His parents are Randy and Linda Madson. Eric is planning on attending the Georgia Institute of Technology.
