Northland Community & Technical College announces first ever recruiting class

Northland Community & Technical College Head Wrestling Coach Scott DCamp has announced that 10 student athletes have committed to compete for Northland during the 2013-14 school year.

Northland CTC is a new NJCAA wrestling program located in Thief River Falls, Minn. The Pioneers will begin competition next season.

  • 133/141 – Chaz Abrahamson, Thief River Falls, 2011 graduate; four-time Minnesota state qualifier, 2009 sixth place.
  • 149/157 – Brett Schurman, North Border-Cavalier (N.D.), 2012 graduate, transfer from Minot State; four-time state placewinner: 2012 second, 2011 fourth, 2010 fifth, 2009 sixth.
  • 157/165 – Logan Alten, Thief River Falls, 2012 graduate; three-time section placewinner: 2012 section fourth place, 2011 section fifth place, 2010 section fourth place.
  • 157/165 – Jordan Engen, Thief River Falls, 2009 graduate; five-time state qualifier, 2008 fourth place.
  • 174 – John Westman, Badger/Greenbush-Middle River, 2013 graduate; one-time state qualifier, 2013 fifth place.
  • 174 – Brady Gross, Blackduck/Cass Lake-Bena; three-time section placewinner: 2013 third place, 2012 fifth place, 2011 fifth place.
  • 184 – Collin Huckbody, Nevis, Walker-Hackensack-Akley/Nevis, two-time state qualifier: 2013 sixth place, 2012 fourth place.
  • 197 – Craig Williams, Thief River Falls, 2012 graduate; two-time state qualifier, 2012 sixth place.
  • 197 – Timm Ingle, Badger/Greenbush-Middle River; 2012 state qualifier.
  • 197/285 – Ryan Oster, Grand Forks Red River (N.D.), 2013 graduate; two-time state qualifier.
  • 197/285 – Seferino Hernandez, Grand Forks Central (N.D.), 2013 graduate; three-time state qualifier, 2012 sixth place.
