FOX College Sports to air NWCA All-Star Classic

FOX College Sports (FCS) will air the 48th annual NWCA All-Star Classic presented by the United States Marine Corps beginning Saturday, November 16 at 10 p.m. Eastern Time.

The annual event showcases the nation’s best college wrestlers in a featured dual meet format. This year’s host site was the Patriot Center on the campus of George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.

FOX College Sports announced the schedule for the first six telecasts of the NWCA All-Star Classic.  Additional airings will be announced at a later date.  All telecasts will air on FCS Pacific.  Nick Garone and Wade Schalles are on play-by-play and color commentary, while Jason Bryant will handle sideline interviews.

“The ability for the NWCA to use the services provided by Christian Holiday and his staff at Global Media for distribution on FOX College Sports has been an extremely beneficial thing for wrestling and the wrestling community,” said NWCA Executive Director Mike Moyer. “The ability to get our nation’s best wrestlers in front of fans and on television as much as possible is important for expanding the sport beyond its traditional borders.”

W.F. Chesley Real Estate will serve as the presenting sponsor for the television broadcast for the second straight year.
