SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana will host three teams for a quadrangular on Friday, Nov. 15. The Vikings (0-0) will face Morningside (0-0) at 3 p.m., then Chadron State (0-1) at 4:30 p.m. and close the day with a dual against U.S. Air Force Academy (0-2) at 6 p.m.
Augustana is coming off a 10-6 season in duals. Under head coach Jason Reitmeier, the Vikings are 105-52 in duals, including a career-best 14-2 mark at Augustana in 2010-11. The Vikings outscored their opponents 376-266 in all matches and an outstanding 317-113 in wins last year.
The Vikings own a perfect 6-0 record against Morningside with the last being a 28-15 win over the Mustangs in 2008. Chadron State comes in with a 4-3 edge over Augustana, but the Vikings took the last matchup in landslide fashion, a 37-9 win in 2005. This will be the second meeting between Augustana and Air Force with the Falcons taking last year’s dual 36-0.
