Minnesota State Welcomes #4 St. Cloud State on Thursday

Mankato, Minn. —- The Minnesota State Wrestling team entertains fourth-rated St. Cloud State Thursday in Taylor Center. Action between the Huskies and the Mavericks is slated to get underway at 7:00 p.m.

MSU-Mankato MavericksCurrently rated 11th in the region, the Mavericks have three individuals ranked regionally. Sophomore Alphonso Vruno is rated fourth at 141, freshman Adam Cooling is ranked fifth in 157 and senior Brandon Eichmann is ranked eighth at 174.

MSU, which enters the match with SCSU owning a 2-8 overall mark and is 2-4 in NSIC matches, boast three individuals with at least 20 wins in Cooling (22-5) and freshmen Scott VandeLoo (21-14) and Darick Vancura (23-10). Cooling heads into the SCSU dual having won his last seven matches.

The Mavericks will recognize a pair of seniors in Eichmann and heavyweight Corby Running at Thursday’s dual, which is the last home dual of the season for Minnesota State.
