North Dakota state champion gives verbal to wrestle for Concordia next fall

Nate Humann of Bismarck Century High School has given a verbal commitment that he will be attending Concordia College next fall.

Concordia CobbersHumann is a four-time North Dakota state placewinner. He won the 113-pound Class A state championship as a senior. He was eighth at 103 pounds in 2011, fifth at 106 in 2012 and third at 113 in 2013. He currently has a high school record.

“Nate has the potential to be a great college student/athlete, and will help the Cobbers in achieving their goal of winning a National Championship as well as an Academic National Championship,” said Coach Nagel. The last two years the Concordia Cobbers were 6th and 9th academically with a team GPA of 3.42 each year.

This year the Concordia wrestling team placed second at the NCAA DIII National Duals in Des Moines, Iowa and are currently ranked 6th in NCAA national polls.

  • Wrestling awards: 2x Century High School hardest worker, 2x Miles City finalist (2014 champion), 2x Gillette champion, 2x Bismarck Rotary Finalist (2014 champion), 2014 Mandan Lions champion

  • 4x Academic all state, member of National Honor Society, carrying a 3.77 GPA
