Simley’s Jim Short dies; he developed Minnesota high school wrestling

Jim Short, the patriarch of Minnesota’s first family of high school wrestling, passed away Saturday at his home in Inver Grove Heights after an intense two-year struggle with cancer. He was 67.

Short not only built Simley High School into a perennial Minnesota wrestling power, but also volunteered countless time and energies into development of the Minnesota USA wrestling program. Continue reading at www.twincities.com
