RCTC Competes in the Luther Open

The Rochester Community and Technical College Yellowjackets competed this past weekend in the grueling Luther Open. This year the tournament boasted over 450 competitors from all the college wrestling divisions.

RCTC YellowjacketsWesley Schultz picked up four wins on his way to the championship in the 184 Silver bracket. In the finals Schultz pinned Mitch Bowman of the University of Iowa in 1:57.

Thomas Miller had a long day going 6-1 in route to placing third at 157 Silver. Miller won by fall in 5:44 over Tagen Lambotte of the University of Iowa for the consolation championship.

Dillon Parpart went 3-2 placing fourth in the 165 Silver bracket.

Also picking up wins for the Yellowjackets were Derek Scott, Trevor Scott, Marcus Blount-McKinley, Ja’von Tolliver, Mike Dyer, Brett Bradford, and Connor Hanson.
