College wrestling is strong but it could be much stronger, Minnesota coach J Robinson says

Win or lose – since you can no longer draw – Minnesota wrestling coach J Robinson is all about the overall status of his favorite sport.

Given Sunday’s Rec Hall sellout crowd of 6,540 that witnessed yet another exciting dual meet – a 17-16 victory for Minnesota — the status quo of the sport looks good.

But regardless of NCAA tournament sellouts that elicit solid TV ratings and ample exposure for the sport on the Big Ten Network as well as online on Flo Wrestling, Robinson doesn’t hesitate to say that looks can be deceiving. Continue reading at
