Mavericks to Host Marauders Before Traveling to St. Cloud State

Mankato, Minn. — Minnesota State is ready to host the University of Mary Thursday before grappling at #4 St. Cloud on Saturday. The home dual at Taylor Center is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start, with the road dual starting at 2:00 p.m.

The Mavericks (3-0, 3-0 NSIC) looks to stay unbeaten on the season. The Marauders (1-7, 0-1 NSIC) are on a four dual losing streak and the #4 Huskies (9-2, 0-0 NSIC) have won its past four.

MSU-Mankato MavericksU-Mary’s last action was at the Nebraska Kearney Duals where it lost all four duals. #10 Lindenwood University beat the Marauders 41-3 in its most recent action.

#4 St. Cloud State’s last time out was at the Wisconsin Parkside Ranger Duals where it won all three duals. The biggest win on the day was against #7 McKendree University as the Huskies won 20-12.

MSU comes into this week’s duals with a three dual win streak of its own. The Mavericks most recent win was at home against Southwest Minnesota State, 29-9. Corey Abernathy (Fr., 184 lbs.) and Scott VanDeLoo (Jr., 197 lbs.) both recorded falls as #4 Cody Quinn (Sr., 165 lbs.) beat Jake Begin who was ranked earlier in the season.
