The #4 St. Cloud State University wrestling team (8-2, 0-0 NSIC) continued its strong showing in 2014-15 by collecting three more wins at the 2015 Ranger Duals tournament on Jan. 17. The tournament was hosted by Wisconsin-Parkside at its campus in Kenosha, Wisc.
The Huskies opened the day with a big 40-7 victory over the University of Indianapolis and continued in the second round with a 40-6 victory over Tiffin University. In the final match of the day, St. Cloud State chalked up a 20-12 victory over #7 McKendree University. A highlight of the day was a 6-4 victory at 165-pounds by SCSU’s #5 Gabe Fogarty against #2 Nick Hafercamp of McKendree.

SCSU wrestling fans will have a chance to watch the Huskies at home during the upcoming week. SCSU will host Northern State on Jan. 23 at 7 p.m. and the Huskies will host Minnesota State Mankato on Jan. 24 at 2 p.m. The match on Jan. 24 has been designed as SCSU Wrestling Alumni Day. All former SCSU wrestlers are invited to attend this event, which will include a pre-match gathering in the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center’s Husky Den and a post-match social at Howie’s Bar in downtown St. Cloud.
