FARGO — Patience paid off for Shakopee, Minnesota’s Alexander Lloyd at the USA Wrestling ASICS/Vaughan Junior & Cadet National Championships Monday at the Fargodome. Lloyd defeated Brock Hardy from Brigham City, Utah, 5-4 to win the 132-pound cadet Greco-Roman national championship.
“I stayed patient and controlled my ties,” said the 16-year-old Lloyd, who finished sixth in 2014. “Usually I’m not as patient as I was this week but it just came out that way.
