MOORHEAD, Minn. — Minnesota State University Moorhead wrestling coach Kris Nelson has announced that Jaxon Seufzer of Juneau, Wis., has signed a national letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic career at MSUM starting in the fall of 2016.
“We’re excited to add Jaxon Seufzer to the MSUM Dragons wrestling program,” MSUM head coach Kris Nelson said. “We project Jaxon to wrestle at 197 in college and he will add depth at that weight class while pushing for a starting spot early in his career. The 197-pound class is a thin weight for us depth-wise and we are glad to add to this weight during the early signing period. Jaxon is a very athletic individual who is a multi-sport athlete and currently ranked No. 1 in the state of Wisconsin.”
Seufzer, who competes for Dodgeland High School, had an outstanding junior campaign. He was 41-7 and was the Division 3 195-pound runner-up in 2015. He has 100 career wins and currently is ranked No. 1 in Wisconsin at 195 pounds. Seufzer also starred in football, where he was named Trailways Large Conference’s offensive player of the year.
