Hastings freshman Lynden Wilson flipped his opponent to his back with 5 seconds left to win their match by one point in a dual against Farmington in early December.
As the clock struck zero and the match ended, Wilson stayed on the mat. Completely exhausted, he couldn’t move.
“He just had left it all out there,” said teary-eyed Hastings coach Josh McLay, who’s also Wilson’s uncle. “We didn’t end up winning the dual, but that just showed me that he’s back. … From where he was a couple months earlier, he had made it in my eyes.” Continue reading at www.twincities.com
