ST. LOUIS – Augustana wrestling went 2-1 at the Marville Duals on Sunday hosted by Maryville University. The Vikings opened the day with a 28-14 win over Ouachita Baptist, before falling to Maryville 26-13, then closing out the duals with a 21-15 victory over McKendree. Augustana improved its record to 18-5 on the season.

David Potratz (133 Pounds) got Augustana on the board early with a first period pin over Byron Burrell.
Colin Ayers (149 Pounds) got the Vikings second pin of the dual in the third period over Connor Loderhose to make it 12-6 Augustana. This was Ayers’ third pin of the season.
Ben Goodwin (165 pounds) and Tim Weber (174 Pounds) each scored victories over Colin Chambers and Izaak Simar to give the Vikings a 19-10 lead in the dual.
Clayton Wahlstrom (197 Pounds) scored a 9-4 decision over Austin Hailey to extend the Augustana lead.
Michael Lowman (285 Pounds) gave Augustana the win with a first period pin over Aaron Clayton. This was Lowman’s fifth pin of the season.
