Woitalla steps down as Northfield head coach

Mark Woitalla’s been coaching wrestling long enough where he’s coaching a second generation of wrestlers and after 16 years of leading the Northfield wrestling program he’s decided to step down.

Woitalla first came to the wrestling program in 1989 when he accepted the head coach position. He left after one season but returned in 1992 when a teaching position and coaching position in the school district opened. Woitalla closes out his career with a record of 190-149 after serving as the head coach for the 1989-90 season as well as from 1992-2001 and from 2012-16. Continue reading at www.southernminn.com
