InterMat’s NCAA Division I Rankings – October 18, 2016

MINNEAPOLIS — InterMat has released preseason NCAA Division I wrestling rankings.

Oklahoma State begins the 2016-17 season ranked No. 1 in InterMat’s tournament rankings and dual meet rankings. The Cowboys have nine ranked wrestlers, including eight ranked in the top seven. Iowa sits at No. 2 in both the tournament rankings and dual meet rankings, and has No. 1-ranked wrestlers in the first two weight classes.

Six returning NCAA champions start the season ranked No. 1, while another begins the season ranked No. 2.

Updated rankings are released every Tuesday during the NCAA wrestling season.
