College Recruiting: three-time state champion Berge to Penn State

Brady Berge of Kasson-Mantorville, the nation’s No. 9 senior recruit by InterMat, has committed to wrestling for Penn State following his upcoming senior season.

Berge is a five-time state place winner. He won the Class AA 152-pound title in 2015 as a sophomore, the 145-pound title as a freshman, and the 106-pound title as a seventh-grader. He placed third at 132 pounds as an eighth grader and sixth at 160 pounds as a junior after suffering a broken leg in the semifinals.

Berge announced his decision and discussed his recruiting process on flowrestling.com.

Berge is projected to wrestle at 149 or 157 pounds for the Nittany Lions.
