Growing larger every year, and having raised $107,935.60 since inception, TakeDown Cancer enters its 4th season.
The charity, having no paid salaries, meets the definition of a grassroots organization. It’s an”of the people, for the people” organization with ALL of the proceeds going toward cancer research and patient aid via the Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund.
Funding is directed to some of the most brilliant, talented, and hard-working cancer researchers in the business. Though TakeDown Cancer dollars are provided for various types of cancers, one of the most recent breakthroughs was a monumental cure for a type of pancreatic cancer.
TakeDown Cancer is looking for additional volunteers to help with the 2016-2017 season.
