A second trip to Indiana in as many weekends produced another big win for the Gophers last Sunday. Minnesota made its first visit to West Lafayette in five years and came away with a 29-12 victory. The 29 points were the most scored in a dual by the Gophers since last year’s regular-season finale against Iowa State (a 30-10 win).
In this week’s trip to the Coach’s Corner, head coach Brandon Eggum looks back at last Sunday’s dual, including the five bonus point wins (three tech falls and two major decisions) that helped Minnesota post a new season-high score. Eggum also highlights the performances of Tommy Thorn and Bobby Steveson, the two Gophers who took their matches by decision.
The Gophers return home for the first time in two weeks this Sunday with a home dual against archrival Iowa. Tickets are still available for the 11 a.m. contest at MyGopherSports.com.
