In the first of two postseason trips to the Coach’s Corner, Minnesota Head Coach Brandon Eggum reviews his team’s performance in his first Big Ten Championships as head coach. He also provides some thoughts on the implications those performances will have on the Gophers at the NCAA tournament.
As a team, Minnesota finished in the top-five at Big Tens for the 20th time in the past 21 seasons. Individually, eight Gophers stood on the podium and nine automatically qualified for the NCAA Championships, the largest Minnesota contingent to participate in the national tournament since 2014.
The Gophers are idle this weekend as they prepare for the biggest event of the year, the NCAA Championships, which will be held in St. Louis on March 16, 17 and 18. A little number of seats are still available in the Minnesota section. Please email wrestle@umn.edu if you are interested in purchasing seats.
