2015 State Champion Tanner Reetz of Frazee has given a commitment to wrestle for Itasca Community College in the 2017-2018 season. Reetz was the Class A 132-pound runner-up this year. He was a state runner-up in 2016 at 126 pounds. His sophomore year Reetz won a state title at 120 pounds. He was a state qualifier in 2013 and 2014. “Tanner is the type of caliber I’ve been working hard to get into the ICC wrestling room, and I’m sure he won’t disappoint the fans with his aggressive style,” said Itasca Coach Nic Wilkes.

Jared Rabbit of Deer River has signed a Letter of Intent for football and wrestling with the Itasca Vikings. Rabbit is a two-time state entrant with appearances in 2016 and 2017 at heavyweight for the Deer River Warriors. “Jarred is much like me when I attended ICC, meaning I don’t think he’s hit his potential and he’s just starting his stride,” said coach Wilkes.

itaslogoBlake Skogstad of Roseau has committed to wrestle for Itasca. Skogstad qualified for the state tournament this year at 182 pounds. He was also a state entrant in 2016 at 170 pounds. Skogstad is projected to compete at 184 pounds next season.

Tyler Tober, 2015 Big Bear champion for the Mora Mustangs, has decided to attend Itasca to play football and wrestle after taking a year off. Tober was a state entrant his senior year in 2016 at 160 pounds. “Itasca is just the right fit. I love the small town environment at the college, and I love hunting and fishing. With all the lakes around the area, it’s just the right fit for me” said Tober, who is also the current record holder at Mora high school for most rushing yards and most touchdowns.
