Snyder, Burroughs, Green, Retherford receive draws for final day of World Championships

PARIS – The final four U.S. men have weighed in and received their draws for Saturday’s freestyle finale the World Championships being held at AccorHotels Arena in Paris, France.

Olympic champions Kyle Snyder (Woodbine, Md./Titan Mercury WC/Ohio RTC) and Jordan Burroughs (Lincoln, Neb./Sunkist Kids/Nebraska RTC), World bronze medalist James Green (Lincoln, Neb./Titan Mercury WC/Nebraska RTC) and newcomer Zain Retherford (Benton, Pa./Nittany Lion WC) take the mat tomorrow for Team USA.

“I feel no different than I felt yesterday, really. I have four guys. They’re all chasing a gold medal, and if they pay attention to the details, and go out and execute, then we’re going to be in good shape…Let them take care of business and the team race takes care of itself,” said U.S. national freestyle coach Bill Zadick.

Snyder, the reigning World and Olympic champion at 97 kg/213 lbs., begins his quest for gold number three against Rio Olympian and 2014 Asian Games bronze medalist Mamed Ibragimov of Kazakhstan.
