Rotert ranked ninth by FloWrestling

South Dakota State University wrestler Nate Rotert appears in the ninth spot in 197-pound preseason rankings conducted by FloWrestling.org.

A senior from Spearfish, Rotert is a three-time qualifier for the NCAA Division I Championships and finished the 2016-17 season with a 22-9 overall record. Through his first three seasons with the Jackrabbits, Rotert has posted a 71-32 career mark.

Rotert is the fourth Jackrabbit to be included in FloWrestling’s preseason rankings. Seth Gross is the top-ranked wrestler at 133 pounds, while Luke Zilverberg will begin the 2017-18 season ranked 18th in the 157-pound division. In addition, David Kocer is the 11th-ranked wrestler in the 174-pound weight class.

SDSU is scheduled to open the 2017-18 season by hosting the Warren Williamson/Daktronics Open Nov. 5 at Frost Arena.
