MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead wrestling team kicks off practice for the 2017-18 season today.
MSUM is entering the ninth season under the direction of Head Coach Kris Nelson.
The Dragons must replace four-time All-American Blake Bosch, who is now an assistant coach for MSUM. He finished with 115 career wins and was national runner-up at 133 pounds last season. As a result of losing six starters, the team will have competition at several weights this season as several new faces are vying for time on the mat.
The Dragons open the season with at dual at Northland Community and Technical College in Thief River Falls on Nov. 8. MSUM will compete in the Bison Open on Nov. 11 and opens its home season on Nov. 14 against crosstown rival Concordia College.
