BROOKINGS, S.D. – Single-match tickets for South Dakota State’s 2017-18 wrestling season will go on sale Monday (Oct. 16) through the Jackrabbit Ticket Office.
Ticket orders for eight home dates will be processed starting at 9 a.m., either in person, online at JackrabbitTickets.com or over the phone by calling (605) 688-5422. This season’s home schedule kicks off Nov. 5 with the season-opening Warren Williamson/Daktronics Open, with the home dual slate getting underway Nov. 17, when the Jackrabbits host Minnesota.
SDSU will host six other duals, including nonconference matches against Central Michigan (Dec. 8) and Oregon State (Jan. 5). In Big 12 Conference competition, the Jackrabbits are slated to host Wyoming (Jan. 18), Northern Iowa (Jan. 21), Iowa State (Feb. 4) and North Dakota State (Feb. 16).
In addition, phone and in-person orders will be accepted for the Dakota Showcase, which will be held Dec. 3 in Spearfish. The annual dual quadrangular features SDSU and in-state programs Augustana, Dakota Wesleyan and Northern State.
The Jackrabbits are coming off a 2016-17 season in which they posted a 14-5 dual record and were nationally ranked for all but one week. SDSU later recorded a third-place finish at the Big 12 Wrestling Championship and qualified five wrestlers for the NCAA Division I Championships, including All-Americans Seth Gross and Alex Kocer.
