IOWA CITY, Iowa — No. 8-ranked Iowa scored bonus points in six of nine decisions including three tech falls as the Hawkeyes rolled to a 38-6 non-conference dual win over North Dakota State on Friday, Nov. 17, in Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
North Dakota State (0-1) is scheduled to square off with No. 13 Northern Iowa at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, in Cedar Falls.
NDSU’s lone win came in the afternoon’s first match when redshirt freshman 125-pounder Paul Bianchi recorded a pin at 1:53 over Iowa’s Justin Stickley. Bianchi improved to 4-1 on the season with a pair of pins.
North Dakota State dropped three close decisions. Andrew Fogarty lost 3-2 at 165 pounds, 184 Tyler McNutt was edged 5-4 and Cordell Eaton was saddled with a 5-3 loss to Iowa No. 11 197-pounder Cash Wilcke.
