Anoka wins prestigious Christmas Tournament

The clock was ticking down.

It had been a rollercoaster team race throughout the weekend’s Minnesota Christmas Tournament, the premier regular season individual wrestling event in the state.

A total of 39 teams from five states, including the top-ranked team in each of Minnesota’s three classes and the entire top 10 of Class AAA, were in attendance.

And after two packed days of action in Rochester, in the next-to-last match of the tournament, Anoka’s fate rested in the hands of Tyler Eischens. Continue reading at
