NDSU Closes Out Home Schedule with Big 12 Duals Against Iowa State, Air Force

North Dakota State (6-8, 0-5 #Big12WR) closes out the home portion of its schedule with a pair of #Big12WR duals on Feb. 2 and Feb. 4 in Scheels Center. The Bison host Iowa State (6-7, 1-4 #Big12WR) at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, and entertain the Air Force Academy (6-2, 1-1 #Big12WR) for Senior Day at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4. The NDSU wrestling program will honor seniors — 149 Mitch Bengtson, 149 Mitch Friedman, 149 Kyle Gliva, 285 Jerrad Nieland and 157 Clay Ream — prior to the Sunday’s dual.

Friday’s dual will be broadcast on Bison 1660 AM and 92.7 FM with Jeff Culhane and Jeff Martin on the call. Each NDSU dual this season will be broadcast by BEK Sports and streamed live on GoBison.com/AllAccess. Jordan Hassler and NDSU senior associate AD Jack Maughan will describe the action. The Series
This will be the fifth meeting between North Dakota State and Iowa State . The Cyclones lead the series 3-1. NDSU defeated then No. 14-ranked Iowa State 25-16 in the first wrestling dual before 1,371 fans in Scheels Center on Nov. 6, 2016. This will be the 17th meeting between North Dakota State and Air Force on the mat. The Bison lead the series 14-2 and have won the last six in a row including a 23-10 win last season at Air Force.

Bison 133 Cam Sykora Second in NCAA Division I Tech Falls
North Dakota State’s 133 Cam Sykora, a redshirt sophomore from Wheaton, Minn., ranks second in NCAA Division I tech falls with nine in a time of 35:50. NC State 133 Jamel Morris is first with 10.

North Dakota State closes out the regular season on the road against No. 12 South Dakota State (10-2, 5-0 #Big12WR) at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, at Frost Arena in Brookings. The Big 12 Championships are scheduled for March 3-4 at the BOK Center in Tulsa.
