Jim Morgan formerly of Bloomington and Paynesville passed away on July 4th. He was 91 years old.
Jim was the patriarch of the Morgan family, recipient of the Greco-Roman Legacy Award at the 2011 Alan & Gloria Rice Greco-Roman Hall of Champions.
Jim and his wife Olive had 12 children. Sons John, Gordy and Marty won a combined ten national Greco-Roman titles and competed in nine World Championships. John competed in the 1988 Olympics, and Gordy competed in the 1996 Olympics. Marty was an NCAA National Champion for The Gophers in 1991. Marty was the top assistant under University of Minnesota Head Coach J Robinson for 13 seasons.

Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Saturday, July 7, 2018, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 835 2nd Ave. NW, New Brighton. Interment 9 AM Monday, July 9, 2018, at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, meet at Assembly Area #5.
