LARAMIE, Wyo.—No. 21-ranked Wyoming won eight of 10 bouts including three bonus decisions to defeat No. 19-ranked North Dakota State by the score of 29-6 in a Big 12 Conference dual on Saturday, Dec. 8, in Arena-Auditorium.

NDSU (3-1, 1-1 #Big12WR) is scheduled to wrestle Air Force (1-1, 1-0 #Big12WR) at 3 p.m. Central Time on Sunday, Dec. 9, in Clune Arena.

ndsulogoNorth Dakota State’s wins were close. No. 8-ranked Bison 125 Brent Fleetwood needed a takedown with 10-seconds left for a 6-5 decision over Cole Verner. Fleetwood improved to 12-2 overall and 4-0 in duals. Following a furious third period, NDSU 149 Jaden Van Maanen claimed a takedown early in a 7-5 sudden victory-1 decision over Jaron Jensen. Van Maanen is now 10-4 overall and 3-1 in duals

Wyoming (3-2, 1-1 #Big12WR) was led by a pin from 157 Dewey Krueger, and major decisions from No. 15-ranked 133 Montorie Bridges and 184 Carless Mooney. The Cowboys also won both matches that featured ranked wrestlers. No. 18 285 Brian Andrews edged NDSU’s Brandon Metz 3-1 in sudden victory-1, while No. 10 165 Branson Ashworth recorded a 6-0 decision over Bison Andrew Fogarty.
