MANHEIM, Pa. — North Dakota State received votes toward the final regular season NWCA Division I Wrestling Coaches Poll released Feb. 26. The Bison were No. 25 on the WIN Wrestling Magazine Dual list and No. 29 in the WIN Tournament Power Index (TPI) with eight points. NDSU was tied for No. 36 with four points in the TrackWrestling.com rankings.
North Dakota State (10-6, 5-4 #Big12WR) will send 10 wrestlers to compete at the Big 12 Championships scheduled for March 9-10 at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla. NDSU’s lineup includes No. 8-ranked 125 Brent Fleetwood (21-3), No. 18-ranked 165 Andrew Fogarty (17-3), who was Big 12 runner-up in 2018, and No. 18-ranked 133 Cam Sykora (19-6), who placed third, and 197 Cordell Eaton (17-8), who was sixth, at the 2017 Big 12 tournament.
All-session tickets for the 2019 Big 12 Wrestling Championship can be purchased through TicketMaster or the Big 12 Wrestling Championship page, with tickets starting as low as $11 for general admission single-session seats to $97 all-session club reserved seats. Additional fees may apply.
The Bison had three wrestlers ranked individually by several web sites.
NDSU 125-pounder Brent Fleetwood (21-3 overall, 13-1 duals) was ranked No. 8 by InterMat.com, WIN Magazine and FloWrestling.org, and No. 9 by TrackWrestling.com and TheOpenMat.com.
North Dakota State 133-pounder Cam Sykora (19-6, 11-4) was ranked No. 18 by InterMat.com, No. 19 by TrackWrestling.com and WIN Magazine, and No. 20 by TheOpenMat.com and FloWrestling.org. Sykora is No. 6 in NCAA Division I with eight tech falls.
NDSU 165-pounder Andrew Fogarty (17-3, 14-2) was ranked No. 13 by WIN Magazine, No. 17 by FloWrestling.org, No. 18 by InterMat.com, and No. 19 TrackWrestling.com and TheOpenMat.com.
The third of three NCAA Coaches Ranking, RPI report and conference allocations is scheduled to be released Feb. 28. NCAA qualifiers will be announced March 12, and the seeding and brackets will be announced March 13 on NCAA.com. The NCAA Wrestling Championship is scheduled for March 21-23 at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pa.
