PITTSBURGH – South Dakota State University wrestler Henry Pohlmeyer will make his second consecutive appearance at the NCAA Wrestling Championships, which begin Thursday at PPG Paints Arena.
A junior from Johnston, Iowa, Pohlmeyer is seeded 22nd in the 149-pound weight class and will face 11th-seeded Joshua Heil of Campbell (23-6 overall record) in the opening round. Pohlmeyer has compiled a 20-13 overall record this season and received an automatic bid to the double-elimination tournament with a fifth-place finish at hte Big 12 Conference Wrestling Championship earlier this month.
Pohlmeyer recorded a 1-2 record in the 141-pound division as an at-large qualifier during his first NCAA appearance in 2018.

All matches of the 2019 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships will be broadcast through the ESPN family of networks. Coverage of all mats will be available through ESPN3.com, with general coverage/highlighted matches set for ESPNU (morning sessions) and ESPN (evening sessions).
