Emily Shilson of Mounds View High School has been awarded the Ms. Minnesota – Wrestling Award as the top senior female high school wrestler in the state.
Shilson finishes her high school career with a 139-64 record. She qualified for the MSHSL State Wrestling Tournament three times and twice competed in the State Team Tournament. Emily is a 2018 Cadet World Champion, 2018 Youth Olympic Games Champion, and a 2017 Cadet World Silver Medalist. She is the first six-time MN Girls High School Wrestling State champion.
Emily carries a 4.03 GPA and is a 2019 MWCA Academic All-State award winner. She plans to wrestle in college and has narrowed her choices down to three schools.
Recipients of the Ms. Minnesota – Wrestling Award receive a certificate to commemorate the achievement along with a monetary gift.

Ms. Minnesota – Wrestling is an award created by MN Girls Wrestling with the sole purpose of promoting and recognizing annually, the top senior female high school wrestler within the state of Minnesota.
